May 31 – June 4 saw the 17th annual Russia CTT International Construction Machinery Exhibition held at the Moscow CROCUS-EXPO exposition center. This year’s event was organized by the famous German exhibition company BAUMA, displaying construction machinery and equipment.
The Russian economic sanctions by the West, low Russian Ruble to Dollar exchange rate, reduced foreign investments and national construction projects slow down have caused the Russian heavy duty truck market to enter a “winter” season. There were less Europe and US heavy truck enterprises exhibitors during this year’s exposition and the exhibition as a whole was on a smaller scale than previous years. In spite of the construction machinery “winter” we are experiencing, there was no lack of Chinese enterprises participating. These enterprises continued to show the visitors “made in China” equipments, diligently leading the Chinese brands exportation. These brands have attracted many visitors, drove many sales and more importantly, establish a positive brand and reputation of our Chinese manufacturing.
SHACMAN was one of those enterprise and can be even considered a leader in some cases. Since entering the Russian market, SHAMCAN brand vehicles have reached a total sales volume of 20,000 units which is the highest of any China based enterprise. Due to other enterprises in the Russian economic crisis having evacuated the front line in an attempt to reduce losses, SHACMAN personnel remained in their posts, never stopping their service and support to customers.
The Russian market is strategically indispensable to any one of the Chinese enterprises, but its economy will take time to heal. We are aware of the importance of the Russian market in the process of internationalization, we have no fear of wind and rain and we will pull together in times of trouble. When the economy is in recession, we will work hard in the post market by putting all of our efforts in dealer optimization, service system improvement and accessories network construction. We will endure the hardship waiting for our opportunities to shine. We, the people of SHACMAN believe no matter what the circumstances are, a friend in need is a friend indeed.
